About Rick...
In 1991 ITV's Motormouth showcased two of Britain's finest talents: hip pop combo Right Said Fred and 11-year-old Rick Baxter, winner of the ITV Young Animator of the Year Award. Both were destined for greatness.
After graduating from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Drama and Theatre Arts he began to transfer his artistic skills into computer-based graphic design and computer programming, or as his Dad put it, a "proper" job.
In 2003 he joined Greater Manchester Police's Corporate Communications branch, fighting crime and protecting the innocent by providing web assistance and developing and maintaining the Force's internet and intranet sites.
During this period Rick began studying Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Quark Express, Adobe InDesign, Flash MX, Lotus Domino Designer and various web coding languages. He also became a fully certified project manager in the qualification formerly known as PRINCE 2.
It was also at this time when Rick met his long term partner (no, not like that) Sean Turner who he would eventually go on to set up the Fat Heads Creative Studio with. Rick (and Sean) left GMP to start their own business, bringing us nicely up to date.
What else is there to say about Rick? Married. One child. That didn't work out so he married an adult. And on that note...
