The Cavendish connundrum

Cavendish Community Primary School contacted Fat Heads to redevelop and redesign their existing website. The school, located in Manchester, had taken a look at a number of our other school website projects and liked what they saw. They felt that their current website did not convey all the great stuff that was going on at the school or get across the important information to parents, governors and Ofsted inspectors in a clear and concise manner.

Fat Heads came up with a brand new site design using bold colour stripes taken from the school's existing logo and brand. We revamped the home page to create a vibrant visual appearance, make it a portal of information to access other areas of the site and introduce dynamic content such as latest news, events, photo galleries and a Twitter feed.

The site features individual sections for the school's year groups, an interactive calendar and a resource area for school policies and downloads.

We gave Fat Heads the brief to create a website which was bright and attractive to look at; could be used as a gallery for all of the digital content our children produce; could provide links to our social media accounts and could be easily accessed by teachers so that they could upload their own content. They visited school with a variety of example web pages for us to explore and genuinely listened to what we wanted to achieve. Our website is now a really great marketing tool for the school and Fat Heads are always at the end of the phone with advice whenever we need it.
