The project
The University of Salford's 'Launchpad' campaign was historically an online PDF newsletter that the target audience of teachers and careers advisors could download. The University were looking for a better way to notify the recipients that the newsletter was available and came up with an improved solution. Rather than notify the recipient and invite them to download the newsletter, why not just email the newsletter directly to them. Salford University had a 'Launchpad' e-campaign, now all they needed was the design. That's where Fat Heads came in.
Using a colourful and bright background we were able to produce an eye-catching design that at the same time allowed the University to change the template quickly and easily to send out regular 'Launchpad' updates. Layering the news stories in a neatly constructed list allowed the newsletter to have unrestricted and unlimited number of articles.
