City Desk Manufacturing website

The project

City Desk Manufacturing was looking for a complete overhaul of their website to coincide with the recent corporate re-brand and launch of their new product ranges.

The site needed to be a useful resource tool for current and potential dealers to access information about the company and the furniture that they manufactured. It also required an online catalogue of the products and to highlight City Desk's recent expansion into CAD interior design and their 'Good Start' plan to reduce their carbon footprint.

Having already been involved in the recent re-brand of the City Desk logo, Fat Heads wanted to bring the fresh, clinical look of the brand into the website. Great emphasis was placed on the products themselves by using a large Flash banner on the homepage which could be easily manipulated in each of the individual sections to display such features as an interactive version of the recent brochure, an online product guide and an animated Carbon Neutral Wheel.

The product guide in particular uses a combination of Flash and XML to display product images and information in a user-friendly way whilst allowing additions or changes to be made easily by administrators.
