The project

In order to promote their second feature film, Red Rose Media and Penketh High School wanted to put a colourful website in place in the build up to the movie's premiere that would give pupils a chance to learn about the film before seeing it.

The site needed to be fun and colourful reflecting the light-hearted nature of the comedic film and have interactive elements aimed at high school pupils. The site also had to display information about the film and it's production and include elements such as a trailer, interactive gallery and downloads.

Fat Heads had been involved in designing the promotional artwork and branding for the movie from an early stage. From researching movie posters from old French films we came up with the vibrant and colourful lettering and the 'painted' look of the artwork. This design concept was maintained also throughout the site with sounds and simple animation effects added to bring the site to life and make it more interactive for the visitor.

The site was built primarily in Flash, the technology used on most movie promotional sites. This allowed us to create more interactive elements to engage a younger audience. The site features a scrolling character panel, movie trailer, photo gallery and downloadable wallpapers.
