St Anne's R.C. Primary School website

The project

St Anne's R.C. Primary and Nursery School in Audenshaw, Manchester asked us to take a look at their very basic and limited website and how we could tranform it. The school was very to keen to use the site as an advert for the school in order to attract pupils in the local area and at the same time an information portal to display current news and events.

As well as the usual features and functionalities such as feedback forms, photo gallery and downloads St Anne's also required an online lunch menu that could be completed by the pupils' parents or guardians and submitted straight to the relevant member of staff.

Fat Heads came up with a vibrant and fun web design to appeal to both parents, visitors and the primary education level pupils. The design makes great use of a series of 28 cartoon children decked out in the St Anne's uniform that were developed by Fat Heads specifically for this project. The navigation and site layout is neat and uncomplicated allowing visitors to get to relevant information quickly and view the latest updates without having to trawl through archives.

The site is powered by a full content managed system (CMS) that allows multiple members of staff with varying access levels to update all site content, amend lunch menu options and upload new photos into the gallery section. We even created an indivudual blog section for the school Priest to manage.

We also threw in 14 free desktop wallpapers based around the cartoon kids which the pupils could decorate their computers with.
