Salford Sports Network is a growing community resource that allows local visitors the ability to search for sports and leisure clubs and access contact information. The previous site was proving to be difficult for users to navigate to club information quickly. Fat Heads were brought in to give the site a complete overhaul, install and content management system to control the site content and make the site useful and attractive to both visitors and potential interested clubs.
We gave the site a new look with lots of sport activity going on in the banner, footer and calls-to-action to get the visitor in a sporty frame of mind. We introduced calls-to-action and quick contact links to advertise to encourage clubs to sign up and developed a simple news slider on all pages for the latest info.
The home page and sports club search pages feature a full screen-width Google map showing all the relevant sport club locations as well as a comprehensive listing below for user ease.
The site is fully content managed with a bespoke CMS allowing the administrators the ability to add and edit site content, news and club information.
The site was well received by both the client and the clubs, providing us with some excellent feedback.
